Meadowcroft School - enforcement action ongoing

 Morley Borough Independent Councillors have welcomed the news that planning enforcement action is to commence against the controversial Meadowcroft school following the failure of the school to be granted a certificate of lawful use for its educational activities. The enforcement notice, which is being drawn up by the City Councils Legal Services Section, will impose an obligation to return the detached property to a dwelling house.

Councillor Judith Elliott, who supported the residents campaign against the breach of planning rules by the school said "I am pleased that the Councils Enforcement Team is taking the matter seriously and that a legal notice is to be served shortly. We continue to support residents with their campaign to make sure the Planning Legislation is fully complied with."
