Anti-Graffiti Campaign Commences

The Morley Borough Independents have commenced a campaign to crack down on graffiti across the Morley area. The campaign will use the Councils Graffiti Team to clear of graffiti from surfaces across the Town.

 Cllr Judith Elliott said “I was informed by residents on Quarry Lane in Morley about graffiti that had recently appeared on a wall there. I have contacted the Graffiti Team to have it removed as without prompt action additional graffiti often soon joins it.”

Residents can contact Councillors on 0113 2477538 if they have graffiti spots that need clearing.

Cllr Elliott said, “We need the support of local residents if we are to crack down on these graffiti merchants. The Graffiti Team is able to use their skills to remove most graffiti. Graffiti is blight on our communities and I hope this approach will mean neighbourhoods can work with us to clear up the area.”
